You can see this restaurant looking across the sea form the S’Algar waterfront; easy walk around the headland to get to it. Great view back over S’Algar from the restaurant – nice spot for lunch

Great tapas bar right on the high street: typical atmosphere… full of locals, TV on the wall, good buzz. Try the grilled liver (“Higado al la plancha” – best liver in the world!).

Another great tapas bar located off to the right of the high street at the bottom end (ie the S’Algar end).

Great tapas bar on the port in Mahon, slightly separated from most of the other restaurants on the port close to the curving road down towards the passenger ferry terminal

La Murada: Plaza Bastio (Bastion Square)

Our favourite tapas bar in Mahon; situated in a lovely square. Try the Carpaccio of prawns and the Plato Iberico; the house red wine is a fantastic Marquis de Caceres… great value!
This is down a side street off to the left as you walk form the main Esplanada down towards the port.

Great place for a long lunch: you can bring your swimming gear and swim either in their pool or off the rocks in the sea. Very relaxed atmosphere, super paella.
