Local, Spanish, nice courtyard.Regular musical events and can cater for large parties Run by David and his father Juan the atmosphere is always electric. Waiters are attentive and courteous with good food
Local, more pub-like atmosphere; good for quick pizza, chicken and chips, etc.
You can see this restaurant looking across the sea form the S’Algar waterfront; easy walk around the headland to get to it. Great view back over S’Algar from the restaurant – nice spot for lunch
Situated in the picturesque setting of Cala Alcaufar, the Xuroy has been a family owned and run business since it was established in 1950.The hotel has a wonderful beachside terrace ideal for alfresco lunch or evening drinks overlooking the beach and the Cove
Just beyond the S’Algar turn onto the main road – lovely rural hotel with fabulous restaurant set in beautiful courtyard… for a special treat!
Torret (off to the left on the way to San Lluis):
One of our favourite restaurants; slightly difficult to find in the little village of Torret on the way to San Lluis – run by Patrick and Noellia who are
fabulous hosts, just say Paul and Nina sent you!
Great tapas bar right on the high street: typical atmosphere… full of locals, TV on the wall, good buzz. Try the grilled liver (“Higado al la plancha” – best liver in the world!).
Bar La Taberna :
Another great tapas bar located off to the right of the high street at the bottom end (ie the S’Algar end).
Another super rural hotel with beautiful restaurant set in courtyard… another place for a special treat!
Possibly my favourite tapas bar on the island at the momentThe croquettes are to die for (well almost)This is situated very close to the next restaurant
Great tapas bar on the port in Mahon, slightly separated from most of the other restaurants on the port close to the curving road down towards the passenger ferry terminal
On the port in Mahon amongst many other portside restaurants; broad menu, real buzz at night watching the world go by and looking at the beautiful yachts and motor-cruisers.
Contemporary Mediterranean cooking on a side street off to the left after leaving the main Esplanada (with underground car park) walking down towards port
Our favourite tapas bar in Mahon; situated in a lovely square. Try the Carpaccio of prawns and the Plato Iberico; the house red wine is a fantastic Marquis de Caceres… great value!
This is down a side street off to the left as you walk form the main Esplanada down towards the port.
